Lisa Dobraszczyk BSc (Hons), MRCSLT, HCPC registered
Lisa is a highly experienced Speech and Language Therapist. Since qualifying from the University of Reading in 1998, she has had a great deal of experience working in community clinics, mainstream schools and special school provision. Her area of expertise is with younger children aged 2 upwards. She is experienced in helping children with speech sound difficulties and language delay and disorders. She is also trained in Lidcombe therapy to support children who stammer.
Lisa currently works part-time in a special school with children with learning difficulties, Down's Syndrome and Autistic Spectrum Conditions. She is trained in Talk Tools, PECS, Signalong and Makaton. She is passionate about developing children's communication potential and in giving children the tools to communicate as best they can, whether that is through speech or an alternative method such as PECS or signing. She is also passionate about working with children and their whole environment, including their family and educational setting, in order to support all those involved in that child's development. Her aim for therapy sessions is that they should be fun and engaging for the child and easy to continue for the family.
Lisa is able to provide home or school visits in Stockport (including places such as The Heatons and Cheadle) and also parts of South Manchester (e.g. Withington).
