Jeremy Parsons B.A.
Jeremy is a qualified therapeutic play practitioner, training to be a play therapist with PTUK, registered with the BAPC.
Jeremy has a lot of experience working with children, young people and adults with a varying range of abilities and needs. This ranges from physical to more special educational and psychological needs with a lot of experience around different challenging behaviours. More recently, Jeremy has been gaining a lot of experience with those with complex multiple needs.
Jeremy is able to assess each client’s individual needs and tailor his sessions accordingly, working in a non-confrontational, judgement-free manner, reflecting the client’s play back to them. This in turn allows his clients to build up self-confidence, resilience and the ability to look at their issues in a safe environment and aid in resolving their own challenges at their own pace and in the manner that suits them best.
Jeremy primarily works around Surrey, though could travel to parts of East Sussex, London and Kent if especially needed. Areas Jeremy primarily covers are:
- Coulsdon South
- East Croydon
- Three Bridges
- Tunbridge Wells
Helen Dalton - Postgraduate Certificate in Therapeutic Play Skills, Postgraduate Diploma in Play Therapy, Accredited Play Therapist, Certificate in Supervision of Play & Creative Arts Therapy, Licensed Parent-Child Attachment Play Practitioner, PTUK, MBACP
Helen trained and is registered with PTUK and is a Member of BACP. She provides 1-1 non-directive play therapy sessions with children aged 3-12 years old.
Play is a child’s natural language, vital for them to learn how to negotiate their way in the world, explore their emotions and work out their difficulties. Play therapy allows children and young people of all ages to explore any issues that they may have experienced in their lives, in a safe, confidential, held and supported space where they take the lead and the therapist follows.
Helen has worked for 12 years within primary schools, working with individuals and groups. Referrals have been for attachment difficulties, fostering and adoption issues, trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, as well as behavioural difficulties and developmental issues and so on.
Helen is committed to providing a safe and supportive space, enabling clients to explore and express their difficult feelings and to help them achieve more positive futures.
